Kerr McGee Corporation: Wellwork Foreman, offshore, Gulf of Mexico, Houston, Texas                        1998-2003

Site supervision of thru-tubing workovers and Rigless plug and abandonment’s, reporting to wellwork superintendent.

·         Research identified conditions not addressed by procedures on HI576/BS21 plug and abandonment, using a “self developed” process to evaluate procedures vs. existing well conditions.

·         Aggressively managed safety by developing a mission statement communicating safety and environmental and regulatory goals, resulting in no incidents in 2003.

·          Research and innovation eliminating need to remove mud line hangers on H.I.327 plug and abandonment, allowing project completion “under budget”  

 

Oryx Energy Company: Operations Technician, offshore Gulf of Mexico, Sabine Pass, Texas                     1994-1998

On site management of Oil and Gas production, maintenance, well service, thru-tubing workovers on offshore oil and gas platforms, reporting to production superintendent.

·         Analysis eliminated a sand wash on HI 129#9(zone change), resulting in time/cost savings and new production of 3mmscfd @2800#.

·         Innovation overcame sand, inability to circulate and depth control on EI 380a#14, enabling a successful plug back and new production 3mmscfd @ 900#.

·         Managed Oil/Gas Production focused on volumes, overboard water quality, safety system reliability, preventative maintenance, logistics and supplies, to maximized revenue. 

·         Gained experience in Gas Lift Operations.

 

Oryx Energy Company: Operations Technician, onshore, Laurel, Mississippi                                               1991-1994

Managed field operations, Oil and Gas production, maintenance, well service, workover operations, reporting to production superintendent.

·         Innovation gained new production of 300bopd thru research/analysis/innovation, which prevented damage to water sensitive formation when converting A.Wallace#1 to artificial lift.  

·         Innovation lowered cost and improved safety on B. Mason #2 (H2S workover, hydraulic lift), by using production facilities to circulate well with 2% kcl prior to rig arrival.

·         Managed Oil and Gas Production by test, well analysis and innovation, which maximized revenue.

·         Increased reserves through successful management of G. Anderson #2 deepening project.

·         Through analysis and innovation, saved time and money restoring water free production on C. Anderson #1, workover.

·         Managed Oil and Gas Production by tests, well analysis and innovation, which maximized revenue.

·         Assumed operations and delivered a DOT regulated gas system with 67 citations to compliance avoiding a shut in by conducting research, analysis, and follow-thru. Future violations reduced 93%.

·         Managed the oil and gas waste by writing and implementing a waste management program.

 

Sun Oil Company: Senior/Specialist, Technician, onshore Tyler, Texas                                                       1978-1988           

Participated as member of 3-person team that managed Oil and Gas production, maintenance, well service, workover, and completion operations.

·         Acquired extensive experience with deep Rod Pump/Submersible Lift, solving problems through initiative, research and analysis.

·         Managed field construction, startup, operation, and monitoring of tertiary recovery project, increasing production from 500 to 1450bopd.  The success of this project lead to an interview and feature in the Oil and Gas Journal.

·         Innovation solved hydrate problems on gas processing unit that resulted in recovery of 900gpd from 200mcfd.

·         Managed oil and gas production by test, well analysis and innovation, which maximized revenue.

 

Sun Oil Company: Engineering Technician, onshore, Coushatta, Louisiana                                                 1976-1978

Participated as a member of a 3-person team that managed Oil and Gas production, maintenance, well service, workover and completion operations.

·         Managed Oil and Gas Production by test, well analysis and innovation, which maximized revenue.

·         Supervised well service, workover and completion operations.

·         Participated in construction of facilities, completion, stimulation and flow back of 5-cotton valley sand wells.
